Read Me file for HYDGEN for Windows
1. Installing HYDGEN for Windows is installed from the DOS prompt. The files
are contained in a self extracting archive file called INWSMADA.EXE. The
following files should be on the disk when you recieve it.
INSTALL.BAT - Installation Batch File
README.TXT - The file you are reading
INWSMADA.EXE - Self Extracting Archive
To run the installation batch file type
INSTALL S: D:
where S is the source drive
D is the destination drive
The following files will be installed into the created directory (WINSMADA);
HYDGEN.EXE - Windows Executable
SMHELP.HLP - Windows Help File
The following dynamic link libraries can be moved to the Windows directory
BWCC.DLL - Borland interface library
GSWDLL.DLL - Graphics Server interface
GSW.EXE - Executable required for Plotting
To run the program from Windows you must either create a new group
(recommended name SMADA for Windows) and place the program item
in the group.
To Create A Group From Program Manager
File, New, Program Group, <Enter Group Title> Ok.
To Create A Group Item From Program Manager
File, New, Program Item,
Program Title> Hydrograph Generation
Command Line> c:\winsmada\hydgen.exe
Working Directory> c:\winsmada
Ok.
There is more about creating program groups and program items in the Windows
help system. It is advantageous for all Windows users to understand how
program groups and items operate.
2. What is HYDGEN for Windows? HYDGEN is a program which generates Watershed
hydrographs. It allows the user to create pollutographs, rainfall files,
watershed files, hydrographs, flow files, import rainfall data, print,
plot, copy all data to clipboard, copy all results and plots to clipboard.
It is the first in a series of stormwater management programs for
Windows.
3. Please Register Your Program. Registration will provide you with a hard copy
of the program documentation, any program updates and access to all the other
Stormwater Management programs currently under development. If you desire
added functionality to this program I am a developer currently developing an
entire series of stormwater programs. Write me with suggestions or requests.
